Caged Beauty

In a popular foreigners market, not far from the Diplomatic Enclave, these birds are caged outside the butchers shop. I don't know if anyone buys any of the birds as each time I go there, the same number are there in the cages. It's such a shame that these beautiful birds are locked up, when we have green parrots flying around on the compound.

Have seen loads of things to blip, whilst I've been driving around Islamabad, but it's hard when you are the driver and the scene you want to snap is now fading in your rear mirror!
