Striding
We did Halloween proud last night in our own quiet way. After some indecision over a couple of pints about where to eat and even what type of food to go for, we decided to stick to the original plan and have some pub grub. The Gastropub Company on Marine Road in Dún Laoghaire was the establishment chosen for the honour of feeding us. The menu is a bit more up-market than your traditional pub grub, but I managed to find soup and cod on the menu (complete with mushy peas and tartare sauce) so stayed closest to the standard fare.
From there we went on to a couple of other pubs in Dún Laoghaire, ending in Walters, which was the closest we came to a local in the days when we drank regularly around the locality. By this stage it was too late for me to get the last DART home so I stayed overnight in Carl's place. No bother from Halloween-itis all night apart from round the corner from Carl's where a gang of teenagers had built a bonfire and seemed intent on adding a shopping trolly to the flames.
I spent a while this morning shooting off a few snaps around the pier in Dún Laoghaire. The weather was dry, even if a bit dull to begin with. Not so long ago I would never have thought of taking photographs in conditions like this, and was surprised how much I enjoyed the experience. One up for Blip in that respect!

ADDED: Why not spend a moment to congratulate The (un)professional on his 300th blip.
