The King

I was invited to see Arnold Palmer speak tonight at the Oakland Hills Country Club Scholarship Trust fundraiser. It was amazing. He didn't speak for long but he was visibly moved by the warm reception he received and by reminiscing about the golf he had played throughout his career in the Detroit area and at Oakland Hills in particular. Arnold won the 1981 Senior Open at OHCC in a playoff.

As he was leaving the event I hurried out a side door and made my way to the front to try and get a couple of photos. Gotta get a blip right? This is the result. The only thing better; right after I took this I shook his hand.
