What is a "henge" anyway?
Spent today in Winchester with a colleague from JANET(UK) visiting Hampshire county council. They're an LA with around 500 primary and secondary schools and who want to start using FAM both for accessing external resources and for accessing their internal learning platform, and were looking for guidance on what is and isn't possible and where things should fit in their large enterprise architecture.
The main message is that the technology can do pretty much whatever you want and there are usually multiple ways to achieve your goals in terms of integration with existing systems containing current and historical data - the difficulty comes in choosing which way best suits the goals, the context, and the areas of expertise of those who actually have to go do the integration. They ended up much more clued up about where to go from here, so jobs a goodun.
Once we were done, rode home on the bike - but didn't just go up the dual carriageway to the M4 and all the way back along it to Cardiff; instead cut across country on a- and b- roads to emerge on the M4 around Bath. Nice roads. Completely randomly (I had no idea what was on the route I put into my satnav), on one of those roads I saw some stones appear on the horizon in front of me - Stonehenge! I've never seen it before in the flesh, as it were, so I had to stop and take a pic. Not the brightest of days, but some impressively looming clouds above...
