ELEPHANT ROCKS

Located about 40 K from Oamaru in North Otago - these rocks are limestone which has been unthrust and shaped by erosion over .......... years. The site is often used for film making and a nearby field was the site of the making for the "Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" Its a wonderful spooky place - the area is briming with a lost world of Maori Cave drawings, Fossils and even a Whales remnants which indicates the sea was here some time ago ????? Oh maybe a couple ?
