HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

First of all, apologies for the delay in getting my second post up, sometimes life just gets in the way!

This here is my hockey goalkeeping kit, I thought I'd show everyone as the season is about to start and this is what I'll be wearing every Saturday as I attempt to stop a very hard ball from going into a goal at a very high speed!

I've been playing now for 15 years and currently play for the 1st XI at Bolton Hockey Club. This year we'll be looking for promotion having been relegated on a technicality out of our control!

Now a bit about the kit! It's made out of high density foam, in New Zealand, by a company called OBO. This here is top of the line stuff and can be yours for upwards of £1000! It's a lot different to the cane leg guards and leather kickers I started out in!

Tomorrow we have our last friendly before the start of the season and it's againt one of the teams in our leage, we're expecting a hard game as we're now one of the teams to beat having been in the division above last year, something we're going to have to get used to quickly!
