Today I had to choose between buildings or birds and I have done both already this week. But buildings seemed more reliable as an emergency back-up blip, so birds it is.

This is a Great Crested Grebe. The circular ripples are because it has been turning on the spot. Their babies don't have the crest but have stripes instead, which is very cute.
