A day with new toys and in inspiration.

Picked up a new little point-an-shoot today. It's a nice change carrying it's 6 oz of Nikon S8000 around over the 9 lbs of Nikon D90 at all times.

The local camera retailer has been having Digitalfest this last few days and today was the trade show part of it and I nabbed a smoking deal on the camera and a handful of SDHC cards.

This evening I went back for tonights speaker, Robert Beck. He's a staff photographer for Sports Illustrated. He had a ton of great advice and such inspirational photos.

He talked about what he would bring with him to photograph events. He photographed the lat olympics. Just in camera bodies alone I would say he had $40,000 in just camera bodies. That's not even getting into glass.

Amazing, Inspiring. I want to got photograph sporting events of any type and caliber right now.
