It's Not All Pretty...

As I was bringing a bag of yard waste to my neighbor's burning pile, I came across this in the grass -- a stark reminder that we are in "le vrai campagne". I got my neighbor Alice, an 85-year-old farmer, and she surmised that it was the leg of a sheep. I'm not sure why there was string next to it.
