Foggy
What we woke up to this morning...outside and in.
The fog outside was beautiful...it beckoned me to head out first thing with my camera. There I was, my "wellies," pajamas, and of course my youngest following in my footsteps through the wet grass. There has been quite the fascination with the cobwebs in the grass lately...especially on mornings when the dew covers the ground.
The fog inside...not so fun. The entire house is fighting a cold, naturally part of the beginning of the school year. The kids feel just good enough to run around and play, but then collapse and succomb to their low energy and just feeling not so good. As my 4 year old put it when I asked how she is feeling today..."Good, but not so good."
On a lighter note, this weekend celebrates the annual German tradition of Oktoberfest in a neighboring town. The town houses approximately 8000 people on a regular basis, yet during Oktoberfest, I believe the numbers reach up to 200,000 or so. Lots of incredible food, beer and wine, and of course the fantastic dancing and singing. It has become our annual tradition as well, as my husband and I volunteer each year to work on Saturday night. We work our four hour shift, then head out to the various "gartens" where we socialize with people we may not have seen since last year. Sitter is scheduled...now if only we can keep the runny noses in check.
I have a feeling tomorrow will be a little foggy as well :)
