Gae somewhere else and seek your dinner
The quotation is from Robert Burns' poem: To a Louse. I was going to use 'to see oursels as ithers see us' because today I've been looking at Edinburgh from the distance, from a viewpoint just beside Burntisland Railway Station.
I went to the AGM of the Fife Diet today - a wonderful meeting at which there was good food and stimulation for the mind as well. Please seek out their website and sign up for their newsletter. Lots to think about, recipes and gardening advice too.
Professor Paul Hanlon from Glasgow University was there to present some of the ideas which you can find on his AfterNow website - take a look at that too if you're interested in sustainability and what it might take to get society to change the way it currently consumes.
