Carnival
Today saw the high-point of the celebrations marking the 800th anniversary of the granting of Royal Burgh status to Perth, with a carnival through the street of our Fair City.
Probably not quite the spectacle that King William would have envisaged when he granted the charter in 1210, but it was a fun day out full of music and colour.
And the weather was very kind to us too. Although I'm not sure if the carnival specialist specially brought in from Brazil would have found it particularly warm.
Took far too many pictures, which made sifting through them quite a challenge. This was my favourite though of one of the carnival-goers as the made their way from the South Inch to the Horse Cross.
(I'll post the rest to flickr when I get the chance.)
