Pool at the End of the Pond
The eccentric light of the Florida dichotomy. The unruly lushness of the marsh and the scrub competing with the imposed order of a "country" club's games that need manicured turf and antiseptic water.
Here again lessons from Magritte. Or de La Tour. Or Heade. Or Eggleston. Or any of the manipulators of light in the visible spectrum we know. Making new by making strange what is commonplace. For me it was easy. I didn't have to do a thing except trip the shutter. The strange had been set up by the demands of the rich and the resistance of nature. Already strange enough.
Light - what senses would take over if there was no light? In my occupation light is a quantity that makes or breaks art, that preserves or destroys it, that changes the artists intent by shifting hues and radiance. My life has been filled with the need to know light. I know too much.
For those of you kind Blipese who have tried to see Starkitecture I have overcome my ignorance (sadly, only in this case) and have made the link live. Thank you for your patience with my stupidity.
