The marble mine in Carrara, that in inside the mountain (most marble mines cut from the outside). Heard about it from a lot of people, finally went there today with my visitor. We arrived just after a tour had started, so had to wait 45 minutes for the next. But I thought it was cool to see how big the 'rooms' are where the marble has been cut away - the ceiling is 15 m high and the width of the room is 20 meters.
