Being the ruthless Blipper that I am I regularly subject my family and friends to "portraiture"- Also known as "Please stop pointing that effing thing at me so I can let go of my double chin and stop holding myself taut."

Kids however are the best. They just eventually ignore you. Although they move around a lot. Which is hard with a manual focus wide aperture thingummy.

There are two options- drug your child or take a million shots.

I went for option two. Honest.

This SLR lens really shows up the detail. And it struck me afresh how much she looks like her Mamma.

It's funny, cos psychologically, they are both maniacs too.
