Bieberstein's Crocus

The first autumn-flowering Crocus has appeared in our allotment garden. Its scientific name is Crocus speciosus, which means 'the Splendid Crocus'.

We had a splendid day in the garden - weather was sunny and warm for the season and we got loads of stuff done. M pruned one of the apple trees while I spent most of the time mowing the grass and trimming the lawn edges.

Now let's hope for a splendid result of the elections, too.
