New space out of old

Another Holborn blip. I admire builders who manage to keep the facades of old buildings while demolishing the old stuff behind. How stressful must the building manager's job be - the facades must be so fragile! Soon the empty space you see here will be filled with something modern - it fascinates me that we can see space where there hasn't been space for 200 years. It also makes me see things differently - I didn't see the white building until its neighbour came down.

Had a great evening with friends. I even cooked and I didn't poison anyone. At least I don't think so... Whisky was shy at first then adopted the visitors.
