Saturday morning telly

I loved Saturday morning tv as a child. Tiswas, Swap shop, Belle and Sebastian, White Horses....


... but as a parent I feel comments like 'But the weather is lovely outside', 'Haven't you got rooms to tidy?' and (while peering disapprovingly at the screen) 'What on earth are they doing?' rising like bile when I happen to walk through the living room. Best just keep out of the way.
