Watercolors - First Watercolor

I just started a watercolor painting class.
Our assignment was to make a name tag.
So for MY FIRST watercolor I copied an old Valentines Day card. I have yet to paint my name in BALLOON lettering, but this is what I finished today, and later I'll work on the lettering.

FYI - Did you know that English and Germany style watercolors come in hard compact blocks of colour called "pans" (or the smaller ones, which are "halfpans") and that the French and Russian style use moist paints that come out of squeeze tubes like real oil paints and acrylics? Neither did I until I started the class. So now you have learned your one thing new for today! :)
