These Boots are made for Walking
Some people covet a new pair of Manolo's or Jimmy Choo's but I am in shoe heaven with my Fitflops, it's like wearing slippers to work. I got my first pair last October and was distraught when they split not so long ago, no shame to them as they had been worn nearly every day, but I managed to order a new pair and was only without my "work slippers" for about a week :)
When I was online ordering the new shoes I was beside myself to see that Fitflop were launching a new range of winter boots AND they were available for pre order. I've been waiting over a month for these to arrive, dreaming of winter in my new boots and finally finding the perfect footwear to wander round New York when I go in December. I got an email over the weekend to say that they had been despatched and they were waiting for me when I came home from work today. I tried to contain my excitement at the arrival of the new boots, Mr Crafty already thinks I'm mad enough parting with £125 for them, I took them out the box, carefully unwrapped the tissue paper and spent a good few minutes admiring my new boots. Overjoyed and delighted at how much I liked them I was already pairing them up with various outfits so I thought I would try them on to see how they matched with my work outfit.
The happy ending to this tale is for my boots and I to live out a long and happy winter season and that would have been the case if I'd been able to get my foot into the boots anywhere past my ankle. Is it wrong to cry because boots don't fit? Mr Crafty happy at the refund going back on the credit card. I'm gutted.
