I used to consider suburban night photography an interesting subject. I guess I still do academically, but in practice I generally find it depressing.

I wander around wondering if someone is going to hassle me, am repeatedly wowed by how much shows up the shadows that I couldn't see, then get home and hate all the images.

So perhaps this winter I'll spend more time editing on my weekday evenings.
