The Girls Are Back in Town

Heidi, Shona and Linds pitched up for another Warsaw weekend tonight. I met them at the airport in the early evening and listened to their tales of the journey that started with Tommy the Tom Tom giving out what they thought were wrong directions to Luton. Turns out Tom was right all along, but the colour of a couple of their fellow passengers' hair and other random behaviour was far from acceptable, but got them in the laughing mood! They came without Rach again unfortunately, for she was at her daughter's hospital bed-side once again. The call came through last Monday that poor Meg had been taken back to GOSH and that it was unlikely that she would be getting her longed-for girly weekend away. Suffice to say we raised many glasses to them, with wishes for a speedy recovery and hopes for a return home soon.

So we started as we meant to go on and kicked off proceedings with supper and drinks chez moi, saving ourselves for a night on the tiles the following night. The 3-litre bottle of vodka made an appearance, as did the Singstar...
