Capercaillie Country

Today was the first field trip with College, we were at Abernethy forest near Aviemore (Scotland) trying to see habitat management and the effects on Caper'. The man in the pic is Stuart MacDonald my lecturer describing the perfect habitat for Caper'. We were hoping to see a Capercaillie but we did not :( but we did see some Crested Tit's!! Great day all round a good 8 mile hike around one of the best nature reserves in Britain.
