A real emergency blip tonight.

These are the pick of the crop from our little apple tree, which really surpassed itself this year - I am forever surprised by plants which produce more than their own weight in fruit. Anyway, we are hoping that this select few, this elite of perfectly formed apples, will last far enough into the dark of winter to give us some memories of the summer sun when we most need them.
