the very last of the roses

Our Roses have not been as spectacular this year but still they soldier on providing some blooms into the autumn. I picked these on Sunday - just had to have some in the house to look at when the evenings grow too dark to wander outside - but I knew they wouldn't last. They just don't seem to like being picked and put in a vase
