Gold in Crystal Palace

A gorgeous day - autumn colours and almost-summer temperatures. F and I walked short-sleeved through the colourful glory of the trees in Crystal Palace. We watched men racing small remote-controlled cars, saw many great dogs going for walks and then headed into London to go to Daunt Books. We're going to Corsica next week - yay! In Daunt Books we furnished ourselves with walking guides, maps and a Lonely Planet. Then we had tea and cake to pour over all the exciting stuff. No guidebooks mentioned rodents on Corsica. Hmmm... I may have to forego rodents and try and find some tortoises before they hibernate.
