Flashtastic

This is not the image I wanted to get today. After learning a lot more about how the flash and camera can work together taking yesterdays blip I wanted to try to get a halo effect behind Poppy but getting Alfie to hold the flash behind her head as I took the picture. The results were not good, and as the cable was quite short it was hard to position the flash properly. After 5 mins or so of this Poppy suggested she held the flash in front of her, after a few efforts I turned the flash down to 1/32 power and this is the result, which I'm fairly pleased with for a first go. I'm much happier with how the flash works now which was the point.
