Pepernoten

They've been in stores for months now, even though they are connected only to the Sinterklaas tradition in the Netherlands and Christmas season in Germany. Apparantly people crave the pepernoten so much that it is worth having them available in summer too. Kinda crazy if you ask me.

This weekend I got my first batch. I am gonna enjoy them for a couple of weeks and then wait for them again all year. Much better than pigging out all year long. :-P
