Fall maintenance

Today we started the day with the idea of relaxing. Lisa has just returned from 5 days on the road and when she's not at home I have a tendency to go to bed late. So we had a shared feeling of tireness.

But it turned out to be a heck of a productive day. We just eased into it.

Every patio chair and table was put away.
BBQ was stored away.
Potted plants were transplanted in the ground.
Part of the hedge was protected from the coming snow.
The raspberry plants were tutored.
The vents in the basement were shut.

We are now ready for winter.

And there's Noel. It's coming tonight and tomorrow. No the other one, the one that killed over 100 people in its path in the Caribbean. We'll get its tail. Rain and great winds.

So we feel good about the work we've done.
