Right wing

In the pic (taken with my mobile from a screen display of one of the leading Swedish newspapers website Svenska Dagbladet) you'll see the newly elected MPs from the "Sweden Democrats". This is a very right wing party with a immigration restrictive policy, but also with a leftwing social agenda. Does that sound familiar? Rightwing morals combined with leftwing social ideas?

Smells 1930's to me.
And they reached 5.7 % in the general election a few days ago.

Apparantly there is 16 (sic!) votes that stops the sitting government (centre-liberal coalition) from getting a majority, independent of either the ex communist-labour-green coalition or the SD. And you Brits were moaning about a hung parliament... peanuts.

I find this really interesting actually. No one in Sweden can say that "my vote won't count anyway" anymore. It really does.
