I said last blip...I have loved having local knowledge....

When this was put in front of my face I kinda wished that local knowledge would shut his mouth.... haha..

What you are looking at is the partially formed fetus of a duck.

Yes that is an eyeball and a beak...

Yes I put that in my mouth...

The first one I had wasn't bad at all, it was mostly just a boiled egg...but this one evidently was a little more developed.. which aparently is what you look for when eating duck fetus...the more developed the better...

This one was all balled up in what I would consider to look like a normal egg. I was just about to put it in my mouth when all of the sudden this head broke lose from the rest of the egg and decided to hang off the side of the spoon...

After all that...yes...I still ate it. That thing on the spoon was consumed by yours truly.

But really what choice did I have? I had locals all around eating it and I didn't want to play the coward foreigner who can't stomach local food.

I have since found out that I'm the first foreigner my friend Sam has seen eat boiled duck fetus...

Am I proud of this?

Yes I am.


It should be noted that the beak was still soft..I was expecting some crunching..but there was none..
