My Photographic Footprint

I thought he only did glass.

It was the first lesson in a course of botanical illustration for me today. I have been on a few courses and enjoy seeing the different approach the teachers have. Also it is good to get out of a style rut.

We were shown this book of Rene Lalique's watercolour sketches for his jewelry. I had no idea he had been a goldsmith originally. The book had many intriguing and exquisite drawings, with photographs of the work which resulted.
This was my favourite. It is quite far fetched, but I love the face.
