La Binoche

The rain tippled down all day, so there was only one thing to do - take myself off to see the divine Juliette Binoche, the thinking man's crumpet (a term which I believe was originally coined for Joan Bakewell, that old tart). What man of a certain age doesn't hold a candle for Ms Binoche? Since the Unbearable Lightness of Being, I've been captivated.

Her new film (Certified Copy) has had, shall we say, 'mixed' reviews, but the trailer looked excellent yesterday and as this was the last day of the run I decided to go for it. At the end the woman in front of me said to her partner, "Oh God, let me out of here before I scream". Not an unfair review, I'd say.
