Thanks for all the colour - we'll miss you

A momentous decision awaits. Our Virginia Creeper may have to go this autumn. It's provided a wonderful autumn splash of colour for 15 years at least but it's taken its toll on the walls, guttering and woodwork of the house, which now needs some repair work and redecoration.

Whether we'll cut it down completely and prevent (if we can) it growing again, or whether we'll let it grow back again is another decision that will need to be taken; but there's no doubt it has to come down in the next few weeks. There'll be a lot of garden waste to be disposed of! Some job!!
