Say cheese...
Day two of nursery school went pretty well today. No.1 son was excited about going in and pleased with himself when he came out, so you can't ask for more than that. I had a very dubious parental moment when he came over to me beaming and brandishing 2 huge A3 size pictures he had painted. Before I even looked at the painting, I looked him up and down in surprise at the lack of damage to the new school jumper, and my first question/comment on his great achievement was actually, "Did they make you wear an apron when you painted today?" I think I need to learn to let go a little! (But if you're wondering, yes they did)
Afterwards, in the spirit of hindsight and guilt, I think I may have over compensated a little on the praise, given that actually one of the paintings is just a big blue blob...
Either way, no.2 son has been very good and patient today given that he's spent a lot of time in the pram. But he's still smiling :-) He had his feet measured today and went up a whole size (that's probably not news worthy) so he's got new shoes with flashing lights in the sole. They are already driving me potty... of course I've got a weekend, without the boys(!), in Berlin, so I can work on my tolerance levels (and hope the batteries die!) Back Sunday night so watch out for 'backblips'
