Big day

Today I received an award for my work on the arts and mental health given by the Royal Society for Public Health: Outstanding contributions to arts and health research. I was very excited to be able to travel down to London and pick up the award at a conference ceremony.

It was all very convenient, I was able to get the 8am train and arrive in London in plenty time for the awards, then afterwards I had time to meet A for a drink (OK quite a few drinks) before getting the sleeper home.

What a nice change of scenery, it is still summer down there!

The day was also notable as a man in a white van called out to me how ya doin beautiful? Oh yeah, I've still got it at the age of 31.

You'd think I'd find something a bit more exotic to blip than the sunrise taken from my own doorstep. Oops. Fail.
