Rose tinted glasses

A very enjoyable day spent at the Scottish Learning Festival in Glasgow. One of the keynote speakers Eric Booth was again inspirational, seeing the future of Scottish Education and the leading light it can be on the world wide stage, highlighting the support that has been and is being put into Curriculum for Excellence by the Scottish Government. Unfortunately the enthusiasm, motivation and inspiration was slightly fogged in those rose tinted glasses and the reality that is Local Education Authority cutbacks came sharply into focus once I left the security of the auditorium. Oh well reality bites, but its good to dream :)
