The Onion Field

I was going to blip this Comma Butterfly but had a change of heart after my walk around the village this evening. This shot is looking from the north west across an onion field that has just been harvested. Big onion producers round here, at harvest time the air is full of their smell and the road dotted with escapees from the trailers which are used to transport them to the packing shed. The sun finally decided to show its face and was casting deep shadows, the clouds were looking particularly wild and the light was excellent.
