Consolation
It's fair to say one aspect of this weekhas been a f***ing disaster: Jury Duty.
Monday: called in for 11am. Dismissed by clerk after half an hour for the rest of the day.
Tuesday: called in for 10am. After watching some minor shenanigans concerning another case, dismissed until 2pm in the afternoon when a jury would be selected. At 2pm nothing happens, go into the courtroom at 2:30 and afteranother half-hour, dismissed until the next day.
Wednesday: called in for 10am. After 2bouts of waiting, a jury is selected around a quarter to 12 - I'm not on it. Dismissed for the day
Today: called in for 2pm. Dismissed until 10an tomorrow.
So, calming down tonight by opening a whisky that's been sitting in the cabinet for a while, awaiting such an occasion: Nikka From the Barrel. It's a blend, but that's certainly not to be held against it. Lovely, beefy stuff.
My current whisky collection covers the planet really. Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Brittany, Scotland, Wales. Mostly good stuff. Slainte!
