I make that....three yellows and a white....

Confusing, isn't it. You can cycle all day looking for a line and then four come along all at once....
Ok, that was stretching it a bit, but seriously - a double yellow and a single white? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understood a double yellow meant no parking EVER, and a single white meant that parking was allowed with certain restrictions - ie time of day, length of time, loading etc etc.
But doesn't this combination just cancel each other out?
