...right back again...Noah had his arm trapped through the bars of the cot!

These are Henry's pride and joy. He has nurtured and fretted over them for months. He grew them from seed and in spite of much checking, prodding and poking they've survived. True, he was temporarily disappointed that they weren't melons (none of the melons survived sadly) but he's fairly resilient and soon bounced back.

He wanted me to photograph them lots of different ways before I either roast them or make them into Nigel Slater's pumpkin and bacon soup. He was hoping that he'd be able to keep one until Halloween but I've persuaded him they won't last that long...especially since they're soup-bound ;-)
