Timberrrrrr

Today a handyman visited our back garden and cut down this tree. It was never meant for a small garden in a town and was growing out of control. You will also see the the long slim hair like leaves. These used to shed every year and would drive me crazy as they covered the grass and everywhere. This summer one of my most hated birds, the pigeon, nested in the tree. I love every bird except pigeons, crows and giant seagulls so when they decided to nest, the decision was made. Down with the tree! Don't even know the name of it, some sort of fir. Breagha was going crazy barking and pawing the glass when the men were busy, so as Laura was going out she closed the curtains and put Jeremy Kyle on the tv to try to take Breagha's mind off what was happening outdoors.

My daughter visited the midwife today and after something called a "sweep" (painful)she told her that there was no sign of baby arriving and if not here by next Friday then she has to go to Ninewells in Dundee for admittance. That will be 1 October. Hope it makes an arrival by then.

By the way, still another 8 trees for the birds in the back garden.
