Mother and Child Reunion

Really struggled for a blip today, this is an abstract of a sculpture to be found in the methodist church courtyard in Sheffield, I really love the sculptors work but his name, annoyingly, has escaped me! His work was originally soft and gentle but he was profoundly injured in the second world war and it became really bizarre, women striding against a gale, for example, with the sinews and bones of their legs showing. God, it's really annoying me that I can't remember his name! Tried to google statue outside peace garden but it's not happening.

Anyway, I'm off to watch John Simm in Hamlet tomorrow so will try to have a relevant blip and a review!
