Bars and Shadows

Drove to one of my favourite photographic haunts -- the Riverwalk -- this afternoon and ended up capturing these bars on the barrier to the parking garage of one of the office buildings.

I sometimes wonder if pounding the streets of Riverside has altered my perspective and I tend to look for these kinds of shots rather than the big picture. I did take some river views but they were just that -- views of the river. It could also be that familiarity breeds contempt, I don't know.

I also decided to give my Canon 40D an outing. I noticed that it had started sulking. It's all smiles now. :-)
