Sunset Football Match

I spent 13 hours in Doha on Friday from noon to just after midnight. It was pristine, warm (39 degrees C), dry (in sharp contrast with the downpours in Colombo that morning) and great to be back.

The thing I love is the smell of the air when you step off the plane. I was allowed out of the airport, and walked for two hours along the corniche, went to the souq, caught up with friends and enjoyed the crisp light.
