Purnululu NP - Fitzroy Crossing

Car packed.
Mee goreng for breakfast.
Stopped at Walanginjdji Lookout on the way out of the park.
Back out to the highway.
Spotted two small roos.
Lunch at a bakery in Hall's Creek.
Eagles flying over the main street.
Bought some ear plugs to drown out the snoring.
Watched a vintage car convoy going the opposite way through the desert.
Fewer trees, grassier landscape as the day wore on.
Listened to Billy Joel on the iPod as Cameron slept.
Windscreen cracked - but not broken - by a rock.
Into the West Kimberley.
Arrived in Fitzroy Crossing just before 4pm.
Set up camp.
Excellent caravan park.
Up to Geikie Gorge.
Sandy walking track.
J struggling in his infallible sandals.
Have to pull about fifty burrs out of my pants.
A little too late for the good afternoon sunlight.
Saw our first freshwater croc.
Drove back to camp at dusk.
Plenty of roo sightings.
Warm showers.
SMS-ed home from a payphone.
Restaurant dinner.
Beers.
Internet.
To bed to test out the earplugs...
