Dear Prudence...

We decided to get out of town for the weekend and went up to the Cape Coast to relax, visit Elmina Slave Fort and the Kakum Nation Park.

Sat over looking the beach eating breakfast at the Oasis beach resort we got some attention from the local kids, as you would expect. Sat looking at the guide book and reading about the area one of the kids pointed to a picture and said "That's our friend".

So we were introduced to Prudence, who was indeed photographed in the guide book. She said that she remembered the photo being taken but had no idea that it would end up in a book. Keira got her to sign the photo and she was like a little celebrity for us. She seemed pretty happy with the whole thing, although I'm not sure she was quite as stoked as the rest of us, especially Keira :)
