A Yorkshire dish
Been a busy day today- doing flowers and coffee at church as well as a reading and in all the rush I forgot to take my camera.
So I had a look around and this is the bowl I have on a coffee table in our conservatory. I bought it 3 years ago almost to the week at the Saltaire Arts festival. We followed the Arts Trail which is fascinating as not only do you get to see lots of unique art work but you get to go into the Victorian houses here built by Sir Titus Salt for his mill workers. It's interesting to see how some have retained their little rooms - kitchen; living room; parlour and others have been completely opened up and modernised into open plan. All seem to still retain lots of character.
Well you probably think we are just nosy but the houses are as interesting as the art. On this occasion though I fell in love with this hand made bowl. the one that said 'Please help yourself to more' had just been sold, but I still liked this one despite what it says - and it's not true that we are tight in Yorkshire!
