Tardebigge Locks

Today's the day ............... to set off

The first thing we had to do after picking up our boat 'Silver Dove' was to navigate our way through the Tardebigge Locks.

The Tardebigge Flight is the longest flight of locks in the UK, comprising 30 narrow locks on a two and a quarter mile stretch of the Worcester and Birmingham Canal at Tardebigge, Worcestershire. It raises the waterway some 220 feet. So no pressure then?!

It said in the book that once you have completed it, everything is a doddle after that ...........
