Secretive Bird

Spent half an hour this morning watching the Dunnocks in the garden, because of their very secretive behaviour getting a good clean capture has proved a bit of a challenge. I hit upon a very simple solution which was to put an old house brick on the ground and then place bird seed on the brick. The Dunnocks feed from on top of the brick and not down in the grass giving me a clear shot :)

Secretive Dunnock in the Lilac Hedge

Got a bit of suprise after returning from the shops this morning, one minute the Green was empty next minute.... Not sure where it came from, obviously a case of the grass being greener. After about 20 minutes the police turned up but seemed non plussed as to what to do, finally the owner turned up but was at a loss to know how it got there!!
